Installation

TIMP.NET is easy to install, configure and administer.

The following steps will get your Instant Messaging Server up and running in just a few minutes:

• Download TIMP.NET Installer from the Tipic Inc. site.
• The TIMP.NET Wizard will guide you through the basic configuration.
• Install one or more clients on any PC's networked to the machine where TIMP.NET is installed. Perform the first login using your administrator account.
• TIMP.NET is now ready to be used for evaluation or in a production environment.

However, there are some common tasks that allow you to fine-tune TIMP.NET - refer to Administration (Common Tasks); some of these tasks can be accomplished using the TIMP.NET Console.

If you do not have Microsoft .Net framework and the Microsoft Data Access component, the TIMP.NET installer will install them.
