Setting the welcome message

The welcome message is the message that is sent to all users when they connect to TIMP.NET for the first time.

In the following document we assume that users have an IM Address of this type: user@myserver.com

Log-in to the TIMP.NET Console; on the left, under the Domain listing:

• click on myserver.com (this is an example, the actual name you should click on depends on the name you assigned while installing TIMP.NET)
• under myserver.com, click on the arrow left of Component and then on Session Manager
• In the center column you will see some tabs; select "SessionManagerGeneral", and scroll down to find the box "Welcome Message"
• add the Subject and the text you prefer
• click on Apply and then Save to Disk

When you commit any change, you should always remember to Click on Apply to have the changes applied to the running instance of TIMP.NET; also click on Save to Disk to have the changes committed to the configuration file (so that, if you restart your machine, the changes in your configuration will not be lost.
