This is the main part of the TIMP.NET Console; in the left column:
TIMP.NET allows different Instances to run different IM servers, but most installations of TIMP.NET are single Instance installations, so you will only see one instance unless you add a new one later.
General Options: when you click on this link under Instance, in the center column you will see two panels:
Site, allows you to change the username and password of the administrator account of the TIMO.NET Console, while the ZlogControl allows you to see in real time the events that TIMP.NET handles.
This section allows you to tune different options of the TIMP.NET basic components, as well as create new components or filters.
When you click on a Domain, under Domain, the link to Filter and Component appears; also, the center column of the TIMP.NET console will show four panels:
Domain: you can modify the Domain Name, define if the Domain is public or private, enable extensive tracing.
XML: this is the raw XML version of the configuration that is added to the TIMP.NET configuration file.
Type: it is possible to select the file assembly type associated to the Doamin or the type of component. You can also create a new association using "Change type" or "Remove Type".
[?]: this shows all the information relevant to the component.
When you click on a link for a specific Component under a Domain, in the center column you will be able to modify the component itslef and its options.
This allows you to add new licenses that you bought from Tipic, to increase the number of concurrent users allowed to login the TIMP.NET server.
Everytime you change something in the TIMP.NET console, clicking on Apply Changes, will commit the changes to the running instance, but WILL NOT save the changes to the configuration file; if you stop TIMP.NET (restarting your PC for example), your data changes will be lost UNLESS you click on Save to Disk.
The default account to log-in to the TIMP.NET Console is: username: tipic - password: tipic; change it immediately after the first log-in.
